Hi there!
I’m Anna, a voice coach based in South East London. When not voice coaching, I’m also a singer, actor, yogi, dog lover, teacher, musician, big Ted Lasso fan and complete theatre nerd. I’m at my happiest when performing, watching a performance, or helping you to realise your true vocal expression whilst singing, acting or speaking.
My love of performing and music started young, however I never felt like a ‘natural’ singer.
I could hold a tune, sure. But I couldn’t belt or riff or hit these crazy high soprano notes. I was fascinated, slightly envious, but mostly deeply curious about why some people could make sounds with their voices that I couldn’t. As my career developed this curiosity grew to include speech and accents -how were some people able to put on different accents so easily!?
This was to begin life-long quest to find out how people were doing these things with their voices, and to master them myself.
Many years later, after completing a Music Degree, a post-graduate Musical Theatre course at a leading UK Drama School, having a professional performing career, completing multiple Estill and Knight-Thompson Speechwork courses, graduating with distinction from the MA Voice Studies Course at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and teaching at major UK drama schools including Bird College, GSA and the International College of Musical Theatre, I finally have some answers. Quite a lot of answers, actually.
And now I want to help you.
As a performer I know how loud that inner-critic can be, and how scary the performing space can feel. However - I also know that with the right guidance, an understanding of how your voice works and clear techniques to practise, it IS possible to become the vocal performer or speaker that you want to be.
Let’s get your vocal technique and confidence boosted so that you can give the performance I know you’re capable of.
